Horses and livestock are often left trapped in chaos, with owners desperately searching for help while emergency responders work tirelessly to protect lives and property. In those moments, H.E.A.T. steps in.
H.E.A.T. (Horse Evacuation Assistance Team), a program of Oak Ranch Corp, was created with one mission: to safely evacuate horses and large animals during natural disasters and emergency situations throughout California. From Paso Robles to San Diego, our volunteers stand ready to respond when communities need us most.

What makes H.E.A.T. different is our commitment to professionalism, preparation, and partnership. Our volunteers train and cooperate alongside local Fire Departments, Sheriff's Departments, and law enforcement agencies to ensure evacuations are handled safely, efficiently, and with respect for active emergency operations. We understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and staying out of the way while still getting results where they matter most.
When many are unable to enter evacuation zones, H.E.A.T. is often granted access because of the trust we have built with first responders and emergency personnel. Our team works under pressure, in dangerous and emotional conditions, to help save animals that families consider part of their family.
